Yesterday, it seems like an Egyptian actor called Hesham Mansour sent out some outrageously antisemitic tweets. I missed the whole thing (by the time checked Twitter yesterday he was suspended). I'm learning today that (1) he's done this before; and (2) he's mentally ill
I was following him, although I forgot who he was or why I even started following him. Over the past year or so, I've kinda tuned him out because he got weirder and weirder and his tweets made less and less sense. Now his friends say he's mentally ill and he's isolated himself
The tweet above says he's shown signs of mental illness for years, and that he's refused any kind of treatment and medication and that his condition deteriorated. He's pushed away his friends and isolated himself. None of this excuses what he said of course. Hope he gets help.
