I think the "negotiating" tactic to be adopted by Johnson is becoming clear. He is going to launch a trade war in conjunction with the US. He will say that if the EU does not concede to us, the US will take action. He will try to undermine the EU not for us but the US. #FBPE
For the AltRight ultra-capitalists, their goals are aligned i.e. they all want corporate rule, the rule of money as oppose to the rule of democracy and law. They are authoritarians who hide behind the illusion of democracy. This is the play. This is what is behind brexit.
Let's be clear, whenever there is a trade there is only one economic outcome, increases in prices on both sides. This of course leads to inevitable hardship & ironically increased support for those that have caused the trade war for their own benefit.
People's hardship is blamed on the other side and sink into a spiral of increased hardship, increased blame, increased retaliation, increased hardship, increased blame, increased retaliation. I am sure we all know where this leads and where it has led in the past.
Let's also remember that Johnson has an obsession with Churchill. It's certifiable, an adopted personality. A trade war will allow an element of this fantasy to become reality. Do not for think for a second he would not encourage a real war to make his fantasy become more real
And so, in conjunction with the AltRight network in the UK & US, and across Europe, expect to see some sabre rattling & threats of UK & US joint anti-EU trade initiatives & threats. The media will laud it as "tough talking". It will actually being selling out the country.
So the important relationship here is between unknown European trade envoys & their counterparts in Washington. They're are the ones tasked with keeping this sane & ensuring that the manchild leaders of the extreme right in the UK & US are not able to use the EU/US relationship
Let us hope there are responsible and sobre minds able to protect the US EU trade relationship until we have come out the other side of this current bout of money puppet politics & we see the return of real politicians, and actual politics. Not this masked dictatorship. #FBPE
