One of your MEPs has shouted that we *must* give into the demands of a foreign leader, to sacrifice someone who was just doing his job and was let down by a leaker

Please, let that sink in for a second

2) set aside that the man was just doing his job, in what was supposed to be the strictest confidence, and that even if you don't agree with his comments, many, many people do.

But wasn't #Brexit all about sovereignty, about "taking back control"?

3) the truth is there's not much left for #Brexit. No one seriously thinks we'll be more prosperous, but lots of Brexit supporters talk about sovereignty

But what actually is sovereignty when it boils down to it? Surely it means the UK standing proud & dignified?

4) imagine if Tusk had demanded we sack a diplomat? What if a Lib Dem MEP said "we must sack the chancellor for comments in a private email because Angela Merkel said so"?

You'd go batshit, you know you would, and rightly so

But this is what is being asked for

5) why is this OK? Why do you get so angry at Obama's "back of the Q" comments but think it's OK for his successor to pick & choose our officials, whilst people you elected to represent the UK agree that he can & should?

6) do you really think a party that says "we must do what we're told by the US" is going to get any kind of trade deal worth having?

If they'll sell our sovereignty & national dignity so easily in public, what do you think they'll give away in private?

7) at the end of this you might think "I don't care, I just want #Brexit"
OK, but then you're not a patriot
You don't care about economic damage, our loss of influence, the stupid,vain politicians who are selling us out

But it turns out you don't even care about sovereignty

8) you don't care about sovereignty because sovereignty means having the guts to say "we won't fire a man for doing his job just because some foreign leader demands it, we have national pride"
