1. Tense time in #Rojava with speculation #Turkey may invade and engage US & partnered Syrian forces on Monday's anniversary of 2016 coup that permitted Turkey's dictator Erdogan to purge the Turkish armed forces pro-@NATO officer corps.
2. Turkey has received the Russian S-400 SAM system triggering US sanctions that are reported to be coming this week. Erdogan has gathered a large force in and around US and SDF forces that has embedded former elements of ISIS and Al-Qaeda.
3. The ability of the SDF to continue detention of 70,000 ISIS in Howl Camp including approximately 25,000 fighters is also unclear and may settle the issue of the repatriation of the ISIS forces to Europe when they arrive as part of Erdogan's jihadist forces.
4. @Trump Towers #Istanbul looms large in US national security policy. Will @POTUS choose his financial interests over safety of US forces & national security to once again back down to Erdogan essentially surrendering gains made under both his & @BarackObama's administrations?
5. Clearly Erdogan is banking on it. The emoluments clause and the failure of Trump to divest or Congress to act may soon cost American lives. @WHNSC

1. I respect senator Murkowski but need to make one thing clear. She ran outside of @GOP RNC funding ecosystem in 2016 and was not likely as infected by Russian money that flooded both the Trump and @SenateGOP campaigns. Her ability to speak is more evidence of Kremlin funding.
2. Here are the 2016 GOP Senate class. The ones in yellow went to Moscow to further the conspiracy over July 4th 2018 holiday. I think this is what is about to drop.
3. Along with #JeffreyEpstein giving up videos of Trump assaulting children. That is what I witnessed today. Total rage. Barr is telling him what's coming and it's the end of the world. If judge Berman keeps Epstein locked up, he'll give up Trump to stay out of the joint.

Should we encourage employers to fire #MAGA people? They have no recourse that I know of. Would it make people disassociate with him and the @GOP
that is now clearly a #WhiteSupremacists hate group? So isn't being a member like openly being a Nazi or KKK in the work place? Could that make all Trump supporters unemployable? What would that do for @GOP turnout in 2020?

Living through first local elections in #Turkey After 32 years!!! The dynamics & methods are so different than US- In some ways cute & funny. Every 15 min Painted vans blasting music for each different party passing by my house!!! My dog’s been going nuts for the past 14 days!!!
The District Head showed up at my door this morning (at 8!)- gave me all the documentations and location for info for the voting boots. I am so Not used to this. Very interesting. Very different!!!
When compared with USA the cost of running for office is sooooo much lower. TV spots not in the equation. Volunteers, a few painted-postered vans making rounds, and yes: music, music, music.

#Turkey should heed Pompeo and release Andrew Brunson. It's wrong; the case has been hopelessly tainted with politics. It's also self-defeating. Holding him hits on a raw nerve in the U.S. and makes achieving Ankara's own objectives more difficult.
Rarely happens that I dissent from @SohrabAhmari, but his argument that #Turkey "should no longer be thought of as a Western ally" because of behaviour like holding Pastor Andrew Brunson is one that I suspect will only gain force over time. commentarymagazine.com/foreign-policy…
Turkey's suggestion that Andrew Brunson is being held as a hostage to be traded for Fethullah Gulen has exacerbated what was already a politicized prosecution. It was an aggressively stupid thing to do: inter alia, strikes at a part of American politics that Trump cannot ignore.
