Jacob Rees-Mogg told me that Leaving and the future relationship are 2 separate issues.

1️⃣ If the Brexit vote wasn't about our long-term EU relationship, then all this fuss over Brexit only concerns a few years of negotiation.
He's calling Brexit voters insanely short-sighted.
2️⃣ You can forget number 1️⃣ because it's a lie. He's already admitted that he's well aware of the legitimacy of the public voting to seek a different relationship with the EU and then having a second referendum to ratify or reject it.
For the reasons above, @Jacob_Rees_Mogg is a liar and a hypocrite.

Nationalism is an unfounded superiority that automatically conflicts with other countries.
If it sends the country in a direction many are ashamed of, then your national pride is simply stolen from your fellow citizens and the division weakens your country, just like with Brexit.

The national conversation is a huge part of healing the country over Brexit.
If, after years of one side saying Brexit won't make us poorer because German car manufacturers will make the EU give us a deal, those same people push No-Deal...
One side will forever be seen as liars.
The Brexit debate was enough to break up families.
Every time anyone on the Remain side said Brexit would damage trade the Leave advocate would say "You really think they'd let that happen? They need us more than we need them. We'll hold all the cards and get the deal WE want".
If Brexit had gone like this, we could have healed:
L: Let's leave!
R: Don't make us poorer!
L: We won't be poorer. We'll get a deal because the EU need us AND we'll take back control.
EU: Here's full EU market access without following any EU rules.
L: See!
R: Guess we'll be ok

1) What did Farage mean?
This interview, from 11 minutes in, should disturb anyone who cares about democracy. The implications for the #Brexit party are:
- Farage cannot be removed as Leader, by design
- the party is being run "like a company"

2) - "smart business people" are making all the decisions - in who's interest?
- No one can join as a member
- Farage "listens to the subscribers" but decides policy
- most disturbing, he clearly states he is "tired of the democratic processes from the voluntary wing of UKIP"
3) this "being tired of democratic process" shows that this is deliberate, not an accident of being "only 6 weeks old"

And the #Brexit party is *not* 6 weeks old, it's been in planning for over 2 years

This iron grip on membership, leadership & policy is by design

1. La disfatta dei conservatori era risaputa, dopo il disastro del governo May sulla Brexit. Molti elettori sono passati al Brexit Party ma molti di essi sono “recuperabili” se la Brexit viene portata a compimento. Il problema vero ora è il Labour, anche se ha preso più voti.
2. Il Labour è riuscito a perdere roccaforti del nord industriale come Leeds e Wigan, zone del Galles dove dominava da quasi un secolo, è scomparso in Scozia, spodestato dai libdem nella “Mecca” Londra e qui ha capitolato addirittura nella circoscrizione di Corbyn, Islington.

Despite her #BREXIT deal being defeated by biggest margin a government has lost a vote ever maybot seeks concessions on backstop despite being told to bog off by the EU with no realistic hope of a different answer
Corbyn meanwhile refuses to talk #BREXIT without no deal being ruled out despite knowing she can't do this whilst maybot makes no concessions either.
