NEW: House Democrats are going to court today to gain access to Mueller's secret grand jury evidence.

The Judiciary Committee is leaning heavily into the idea that impeahcment proceedings against Trump have already begun.

In a court filing today it says this is the reason the same judge should decide on access to Mueller's grand jury material and McGahn testimony.
This is going to get tested for the first time tomorrow when DOJ gets its first crack at responding to the suggestion that the two matters are related.

Republicans on the committee are already calling BS, saying there's been no impeachment inquiry authorized.
One obscure issue that will get fleshed out: how does the committee claim its impeachment investigation was authorized?

For now it appears to be a reading of Jefferson's Manual, which says it began when Brad Sherman's articles of impeachment were referred to committee in January

JUST IN: Former FBI Deputy Director MCCABE is suing in federal court to reinstate his full retirement benefits, claiming his termination a day before his official retirement was driven improperly by Trump.
The suit comes just two days after former FBI agent eter STRZOK filed suit on similar grounds.
