Remarkable how many people think “Russian imperialism” exists today. As if preventing the US and the genocidal gulf monarchies from totally collapsing Syria into another Libya/Iraq/Afghanistan-style hellscape is the same as perpetrating it.
War is hell. That’s not an endorsement of the Syrian government. It’s an acknowledgement of the reality that launching a dirty war on a repressive police state is bound to kill a lot of innocent people.
From Syria to Iran to Venezuela, a new world order is emerging, much to the chagrin of the neocons and fake humanitarians who perpetrated the “war on terror” as cover for regime change plots. I welcome the future.
Only in a multipolar, more democratic world, can left wing movements emerge organically. Under the imperial paradigm, the US and its allies seize on any spark of discontent to push their own agenda, always to the detriment of those who are seeking genuine progress and change.
