At some point we are going to have to talk about racism. Brexit has encouraged racism. It has incited it. It has aloud the unthinkable to be thought, and the unacceptable to become acceptable amongst certain people in society. #FBPE

Brexit has given racists permission to be racist. It has normalised it. It has provided justification for it. It has allowed them to be more explicit and public about their racism. 2/

And let's be clear, this is by design. As we know the underlying strategy of the Leave campaign was to nurture hate and division on any grounds they could find. Colour of skin is just one of them. 3/

The purpose of inciting this hatred and anger was to activate their extreme Right base, trigger them into voting, triggering a reaction to the mainstream angry reaction to racism and bigotry. Most people deplore it. 4/

So they incited bigotry and discrimination across the board and they gave their followers "justification" for being as such. You will remember the anti-muslim tweets of @LeaveEUOfficial without question inciting violence against muslims on our streets. 5/

@LeaveEUOfficial However with regards to racism we have taken a massive step backwards. Think about where we were before the Brexit coup poisoned out society. We were progressing, not as much as we might have liked, but there was progress. 6/

@LeaveEUOfficial Now consider the attacks on Meghan Markle. This kind of criticism for the Royal family is unprecedented. This has never happened but now it is happening and one would be foolish to imagine it has nothing to do with race. 7/

@LeaveEUOfficial There will be much public hand wringing at the way she's been treated but that will not stop this constant slating. Faux concern is a well worn tactic. "It's terrible but...."... 8/

@LeaveEUOfficial It doesn't take long to discover the origin of this racist hatred. No surprise it comes from the extreme Right, no surprise it comes from Brexit (Nationalist) Party representatives, cheered on by trolls. 9/

@LeaveEUOfficial And let us not forget that the origin of the funding and power behind the Leave campaign is white supremacist. This is not hyperbole. They're admitted and proud racists. 10/

@LeaveEUOfficial And whilst we might think that "white supremacist" is a exaggeration... for them, it isn't. They really do believe this. They really do believe whites are the ruling "race". That black people are lesser humans. 11/

@LeaveEUOfficial If you think for a second that derogatory comments are not casually exchanged amongst closet white supremacists, who would never call themselves that, then you're being naive. You think Daily Mail tea times are devoid of that? 12/

@LeaveEUOfficial And so, within fabric of society and the foundations of society is a shift of attitude, backwards, like a sliding tectonic plate. It moves quietly but we will see evidence on the surface more and more. 13/

@LeaveEUOfficial The hate preachers have had their way, to an extent, thanks to corrupt politicians and toxic media, specifically and most insidiously the BBC who used our traditional respect for them against us. 14/

@LeaveEUOfficial And now we have a government put in place by white supremacist money & power. Robert Mercer, his billions, his troll minions, his hedge fund manager network, GOP money. This gov is without question the origin of societal plague. 15/

@LeaveEUOfficial It is down to us to battle against them. It is down to us to push harder against racism & other bigotry. Call it out loud. The bigots had their holiday of hate. It's over. Back in your fucking box. We're better than this. You won't take us down 16/
