A former State Dept official and Romney adviser invited Carter Page to the Cambridge event where he crossed paths with informant Stefan Halper. Page and his host also met in Cleveland at RNC convention. Now, Republicans want to know what was up with that. dailycaller.com/2019/08/01/car…
Nunes mentioned Steven Schrage at the Mueller hearing and on Fox. Question is, did Schrage, who studied under Halper at Cambridge, invite Page to Cambridge on his own, at Halper's suggestion, or something else?
As with Halper, Page is hesitant to speculate about what Schrage's motives were. "I never saw anything suspicious," he said of their interactions.
