Moscow Mitch mad, bro?
Moscow Mitch McConnell continued to fume over his new monniker, especially after another Dana Milbank column blasting the senator’s love affair with Russian oligarchs and his refusal to lift a finger to protect this nation’s elections. #MoscowMitch
In a tweet, that made us laugh until we cried until we fell asleep, longtime McConnell lieutenant Josh Holmes tweeted that McConnell “would be justified filing a defamation suit against Milbank for his latest.
Almost every fact presented is either an outright lie or innuendo based entirely on intentionally incomplete information. This guy deserves to lose his job and the Post should pay a price.” Hilarious, right?
Well, on Thursday we found out that McConnell’s former aides were doing lobbying work for Rusal, the Russian company that miraculously invested $200 million in a Kentucky plant AFTER McConnell voted to lift sanctions on oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
Now we find out that the Americans who cut the deal with the Russians have hired -- wait for it -- the Louisville-based PR firm founded and run by none other than CNN jackass and longtime McConnell pet Scott Jennings.
Gosh. These coincidences sure are piling up. Mitch is speaking at the Fancy Farm picnic in Kentucky today, a big traditional political event for the state. We’re eager to hear if he starts crying. Oh, and be sure to check out MoscowMitch.com, which we launched Friday.
