Gonna say this again a diff't way: If it looks like Trump is behind in the polls (and he will be), Trump-Russia play is to conjure up a few crude, discoverable hacks at election sites, to registration lists, etc., that call election results into question, allow him to challenge.
This is much easier to do than trying to swing votes and for a litigious president whose base loves conspiracy theories it is a formula for real chaos or worse. We need to be prepared for this. But #MoscowMitch's resistance to funding election security actually makes it easier.
This is coming as sure as Trump's next lie. In some ways it could be his biggest and most consequential lie. And he will have the assistance of the same folks who got him here.
