Happy anniversary, you crazy kids. I miss the hell out of both of you.

Unfortunately the car was totaled when Mom drove it into a bridge abutment, an accident in which 15-month old Toddler Dave sustained a skull fracture and 15 stitches. I don't remember it, but it would prove to be the first of my many, many head injuries
This is the first anniversary Mom, Dad and the Fairlane are all united in the Great Beyond
As far as the car goes, it was ~$2700 new ($2500 Skyliner base price + $200 F code option), or about $30-$35k in 2019 dollars. Here's what they fetch now:

oops, my mistake... "Skyliner" was the retractable hard top, Dad's was a "Sunliner", the conventional soft top convertible. A nice restored version of those bring around $125k.
among my litany of neck-up injuries: fractured skull, 2 broken jaws, 2 medically diagnosed concussions, and probably a couple-three more undiagnosed
I regret none of them, all were part of the long process of learning to keep my mouth shut
