Let me phrase more carefully something that many have expressed that rightfully earned scorn from my respected friend @TheScooterbird:
If you intend to vote Democrat to unseat @realDonaldTrump, please consider still voting for their nominee in 2020 if he/she isn't your favorite.

Yes, there is a lot of corporate corruption and consent manufacturing, all kinds of money-fueled manipulation, in both of the Top Two parties. But there is some damaging political rhetoric and practice that @GOP candidates, and they alone, further.
We need to move faster - frankly to stop moving backward - on environmental and equality issues, and not all Democrat candidates stand equally strongly on all of that. But I do see that some of this is a continual fight we already were waging. Anti-Trumpism is not. It's urgent.
Would that politics didn't make such strange bedfellows that we weren't feeling the need to urge such unity, with moderates waffling or worse on topics that will be threatening to kick our arses long after @realDonaldTrump is unseated and shamed.
Then again, would that we were working harder not to be hamstrung by an electoral system that so firmly entrenches the Top Two parties that it's almost as if No Other Party Need Apply. But if @SenSanders can work with that, so should the rest of us be willing.
Also, remember whom that fine Senator endorsed once she won to become the Democrat candidate. Would the devoted Sanders followers who stayed home for the General Election had shown the same character and practical sense. Practical sense does not always leave a sweet taste.
Environmentalism's row to hoe has always been a hard one, as has anything smacking of breaking the grip of corporate interests, industry, big oil, & International Organized Slime on politics. But @realDonaldTrump's ascent to power, a symptom not a disease, is a sad joke on us.
And if we do let the liberal vote get split too much, our enemies will be laughing once again. Therefore I ask you to consider supporting the candidate of @TheDemocrats whoever he or she turns out to be, so as not to face four more years of @realDonaldTrump. It's a tangible fear.
