Something non-Brexit related for once. I want to talk a little bit about TopCashback. I've had some great experiences with the site, so it seemed good to spread the word. Basically, you join and then shop as usual at over 4,000 retailers (going via the TopCashback site each time)
In return, you get a kickback from the retailer, either as a % of spend or as a flat £ amount. For instance, you might get 4-10% back on a hotel booking, a few % on online fashion retailers - or a hefty £50-£100+ bonus for changing utilities provider, broadband supplier etc.
The best bit about it is that the price you pay isn't affected i.e. if you're buying something that would cost £50 if you went directly to the ecommerce site, it will still cost £50 via the TopCashback link to that merchant.
So how is this magic possible? Well, TopCashback gets paid by retailers for driving new business to them.

It then shares a % of what the retailer pays them with its users (because nobody would use TC if there wasn't something in it for them...)
Everyone ends up happy. The retailer gets more business. TC keeps a cut of its commission. And you get paid to shop.

It adds up surprisingly quickly if you shop a lot online. I joined 4 years ago, and have collected nearly £900 in cashback since then. Literally found money!
(You can either get paid directly into your bank account, or take the money as vouchers for various retailers, including Amazon. You even get a bonus for choosing vouchers over cash.)

Anyway, if this sounds interesting, why not join up now?

(Full disclosure: I will get a small bonus if you join via my link above and accumulate at least £10 worth of cashback. And you'll get a £5 Tesco e-Gift card once you reach the threshold. Win-win.)
With all the doom and gloom around Brexit, it's nice to get a dose of cheerfulness, no matter how small. For instance, I can see that I got nearly £25 back on a recent hotel booking. That's enough for a properly decent treat from Amazon.
Added: this is what my string of reward claims looked like the last few months. Mainly reflected several hotel and travel bookings made earlier in the year... Just bought "The Secret Barrister" with the latest Amazon gift card I collected.
