There are 28 reasons why #TheCBCScam needs to be stopped. 1.There was no research to support the argument that Competence Based Curriculum framework is more effective than the previous outcomes based curriculum framework.
2.The summative evaluation of the pilot phase was not conducted by the MoE to form the basis for CBC implementation and national roll out in 2019.

3.Pilot testing of the curriculum was hurriedly done without appropriate syllabus, pupils’ books and teachers’ guides while Piloting was done for only a few months instead of the one year class cycle.
4.CBC implementation is basically economically and politically driven.

25.The CBC is expensive to the common Kenyan parents. The parents have been spending so much on the assignments given to learners in terms of internet, downloading, printing, taking video and photographs of the assignment activities #TheCBCScam
and the equipment’s parents need to purchase on weekly basis which is not considerate of parents and learners who are not financially stable or those regions without electricity, internet, cybercafé etc.

26.The Government has given an illusion that CBC is similar to IGCSE to middle class parents to garner their support of the new curriculum.

27.The Summative report by a team of Researchers and lecturers commissioned by KNUT showed that pupils in grade 3 in all schools are still weak in the competencies expected of them. #THECBCSCAM
Findings mean that the piloting phase had no impact on the effectiveness of the implementation of CBC.
