Look forward to traveling overseas with @SecondLady in September on behalf of @POTUS. On Sept 4, we will visit Iceland where I will meet with @PresidentISL & Foreign Minister @GudlaugurThor on expanding trade & investment opportunities & enhancing security in the Arctic region.
Then we will visit London on September 5 for high-level meetings on trade, joint economic cooperation, countering Iran’s aggression, and the Special Relationship between our two countries.
Finally, on September 6-7 we will travel to Ireland, a country that is very near to my family’s heart, where we look forward to meeting with President @MichaelDHiggins, Taoiseach @LeoVaradkar, and Tánaiste @simoncoveney while celebrating my Irish roots!

CNN is so dishonest. Today we took reporters to a detention facility on the border for families and children and all told us they were being treated well.
The crisis at our southern border is not a “manufactured crisis”, it is real and is overwhelming our system. To show this, we also visited an overcrowded facility for adult men, many of whom have been arrested multiple times.
These men were in a temporary holding area because Democrats in Congress have refused to fund additional bed space.

Tomorrow marks 70 years since the United States and 11 of our allies signed the North Atlantic Treaty & committed ourselves to “safeguard the freedom, common heritage & civilisation of [our] peoples, founded on the principles of democracy, individual liberty and the rule of law.
In the 70 yrs since, the US has kept our commitments – & we’ve urged our European allies to do the same. And as @POTUS said yesterday when he met with @jensstoltenberg, in the last 2 years, “Tremendous progress has been made – & @NATO is much stronger because of that progress.”
We’ve been making historic investments in our national defense and @NATO. America is leading on the world stage once again and part of leadership is being as good as your word and holding your friends and allies to theirs.
