The same old negotiating mistake - blame others rather than assembling a majority negotiating position. We will end up with a Brexit outcome that few in Parliament wish to defend, which will not help us deal with the next stages
This is the Prime Minister in campaigning mode. His claims about negotiations are dubious at best. It is he who has so far moved, not the EU.
Full round evidently. Not usually done by someone who is winning. The prorogue decision was not, in the short term, a good one.
MPs reading this should note there is no sign of movement from the EU on the backstop, and that keeping Parliament sitting and the PM showing control of a majority is more likely to lead to a deal than stopping them from sitting.
*will offer briefs to any MPs who want to believe suspending Parliament makes a deal more likely. Will use evidence like this*
Anyone care to ask Johnson how he intends to get a deal through Parliament given there are MPs in his own party who agree with this article? brexitcentral.com/even-if-the-eu…
"the best way is to be united". Again, anyone care to ask him how he's going to achieve this while Parliament is not sitting? The rest is mostly Farage-type betrayal stuff for Brexit Party voters.
The EU isn't much impressed by what Johnson is doing. And while Germany may like a solution, they aren't riding to the rescue...
