Perhaps time to think again about whether there's an alternative "prize" other than Brexit that could be rolled out so that enough Leavers would accept it as a compromise and support for Leave drops to manageable levels? Because just cancelling the referendum isn't enough.
In other words, what is the Remain+ proposal? If we cancel Brexit and remain, then and only then X, Y and Z tangible things will happen. What are those things? ("We get to stay in the EU and stop all the chaos" isn't a big enough prize for many Leavers.)
(And please let's not rehash the "but the referendum was won illegally" arguments. I know them all. I hear you, understand you, and agree with you. But the world has moved on, and we must face today's realities.)
