Pres Ramaphosa says at the WEF that SA is home to all. How can he make that statement in the context of ballooning and uncontrolled increase in undocumented and illegal immigrants and stagnant and dwindling resources? Does he understand the context?
Does he understand that the Jnb CBD is now hostile precinct captured by drug peddlers who in most cases are Nigerian? Has he seen the impunity they display against the police in a country in which the are presumably seeking refuge? In fact has he been there?
Has he been to the CBD of Witbank, the hometown of @JacksonMthembu_ and my wife? In fact has @DDMabuza been there himself? If they had, and they had a high level of consciousness for social justice, they would have been deeply shocked and spurred into action
All these CBDs are daily manifestations of a total breakdown of law and order which is the primary task of any government. He must ask the people whose children have become victims and addicts who they think the perpetrators are? Answer is always Nigerians.
This is because they know them and they know where they live. Right in Pretoria in Sunnyside, they know where they live and who they are. And they will tell him that the police know too. They are complicit. It should not be difficult to mass arrest and deport
them. All it requires is courage and decisive leadership. We lack both in him because we have not seen him exercise them for the benefit of the people who ensured that he gains the presidency. That is the problem. Xenophobia then becomes the natural outcome.
