What started with the people needs to end with the people. Only a #PeoplesVote with two legally defined, practicably deliverable options can bring back stability to the system.

A #PeoplesVote cannot include a "no deal" option that would take us back to square one and resolve nothing.

But first we need to #RevokeA50. This may seem extreme but there are good reasons to consider this...

We need to #RevokeArticle50 to regain control of events. Right now they're being driven by the timescale of extensions granted by the EU27. We need time to calm down, and give ourselves - politicians & electors - space to consider our future in a more deliberative process.

We also need to #RevokeArticle50 to allow time to put into place legal and regulatory protections against the "hacking" of our democracy by the malevolent billionaire-funded entities that tainted the 2016 poll.

Johnson and Cumming's unelected, unstable and destabilising government needs to be replaced first. There is no way any referendum or other calm, deliberative process of such import can take place while they and the forces they front have their hands on the levers of power.

And we're off. Govt motion #2 for a General Election. Boris out of the gate with a reference to the Speaker always acting in what the *Speaker* judges to be in the National Interest. In Parliamentary terms, that's a low blow.

"The Surrender Act has now passed; he's done his level best to wreck this country's chances of a successful election, by his own logic he must now back an election." Entire Labour front bench avoiding looking across at the Tories. Amazing how many directions a minister can gaze.

Senior Tory rebels have been in to see Johnson and have basically come back out describing the meeting as being crap, and the Johnson is still sticking to the claim that the whip will be withdrawn from any Tory MP that votes against the government

All the current rumblings from Labour still seem to indicate that they won't back a vote calling for a General Election unless legislation is in place to stop a No Deal Brexit on 31 October, but that's still a case of wait and see

So the Lords voted pretty overwhelmingly (347👍, 225 👎) today that 🇬🇧 should stay in a Customs Union with 🇪🇺.

What is this going to mean?

Most obviously it makes the chances of 🇬🇧 having a Customs Union with 🇪🇺 marginally higher. That's welcome.

But I think the significance is more tactical.

First, this all depends on how the Commons reacts.

Does it try to fight back against Lords, and Withdrawal Bill drags on? Or does Govt back down, knowing there would probably be a majority in the Commons for a CU if it wanted it?

The latter looks more likely.

Jaguar Land Rover recently agreed 2 build a new plant in Slovakia with EU grant, owned by Tata, same company who trashed our steel industry & emptied workers pension funds.

British Army's new Ajax fighting vehicles to be built in SPAIN using SWEDISH steel at the request of the EU to support jobs in Spain with EU grant, rather than Wales.
