A quick thread on Elizabeth Warren:

I've been oddly criticized for being both "too soft" and "too hard" on Elizabeth Warren. Let me respond to the latter complaint first. This is a primary, and highlighting key differences between Warren and Sanders was inevitable.
Elizabeth Warren is no Hillary, but she's also no Bernie. I think Bernie can put us on the trajectory towards social democracy because he fundamentally understands how corrosive capitalism has been on BOTH parties. Warren's cozying up with Democratic elites tells me she won't
challenge them in the way Bernie will. We need to force Party realignment; make moderates feel unwelcome. But it's clear they'll have a home in Warren's Party, whereas Bernie said he wants to primary them. It's okay for us to point this out and also talk about policy differences.
These are not "attacks," this is all part of the primary process.

For people who say I'm "too soft" on Warren; first of all I disagree. Second of all, I refuse to outright shit on a candidate in a way that I feel is counterproductive. I felt like I was incredibly toxic in 2016
and I'm trying to only engage in criticisms of candidates that I think are constructive and are for purposes of educating viewers. My audience has more than doubled since 2016, so me being overly vicious and vindictive towards every other candidate will only hurt our movement.
Finally, periodically praising candidates like Warren when I objectively agree or think they did something good doesn't mean I'm abandoning Bernie. I believe in positive reinforcement, and if Bernie gets bested on a policy by someone else, we encourage him to improve.
I don't always live up to these standards, and sometimes I disappoint my viewers (and myself) but I'm always trying to improve and do the best I possibly can. That's all.
