It can’t be stressed enough how COMPLICIT US news outlets are in enabling Corbynization to spread. When it was revealed that @IlhanMN & @RashidaTlaib were associating with an org, Miftah, that claims Jews consume Christian blood, the media largely declined to report it. (THREAD)
I even sent emails to reporters and editors @USATODAY and elsewhere with proof. They declined to report it.
“Two members of Congress plan trip sponsored by an org that regurgitates antisemitic blood libels and praises suicide bombers.” Geez, that sounds like a story. Especially since the trips cancellation was already making national headlines. Seems relevant.
Instead, our fearless fourth estate spent a week on sharpie-Gate. We don’t have a free thinking and independent press. Rather, we have a party press stenographers. No Woodward’s and Bernstein’s here.Just some hacks who can’t be troubled to report the truth when it’s in their face
Or in their inbox. God forbid actual investigative journalism.
Smaller outlets are picking up the slack. Outlets with less resources, less money and fewer people. And that’s an indictment in itself.
Smaller wonder that most Americans have record low trust in the media. That cynicism has been earned. And it’s richly deserved.
