I found in the archives this Times (UK) 31 July 2006 profile of the late Senator John McCain and his most admirable family of serving sailors and Marines. Note this incredible statistic of dynastic political corruption, which one suspects only got worse since 2006

My google search for this piece also produced this *August 2008* story re Hunter Biden’s ‘entrepreneurial’ activities amid his father’s lawmaking office holding....I am sure this was all above board as well.

Will simply say, again, that when Caesar marched on Rome, a good century of dynastic political corruption and plundering of the Republic’s offices meant that Caesar, even with his legions, was always pushing at an open door, due to popular disgust with the status quo

Take a step back: if the US' 2019/2020 is Trump vs the Swamp of Hunter Bidenism, then Trump cannot lose. If Trump is wise, his people throw a couple of GOP/NT establishment delinquent children to the wolves as well. Makes clear that corrupt Hunter Bidenism is on all sides (it is)

The most amazing part of this 2019 US impeachment circus is Trump being targeted for going after dynastic Hunter Bidenist corruption while former presidents who instigated catastrophic wars, disastrous interventions, torture etc remain beltway & media darlings. One is speechless.

Future historians will look back at the history of 2000-2020 and be nothing short of astounded that the President who was impeached was not the one who presided over the Iraq war or the Libya and Syria interventions, but the guy who went after ex-VP's delinquent children. #Norms

This @DouthatNYT piece is superb-read every word. My only criticism is the Venetian Republic lasted for c1000 years because its Doge was elected for life (focuses the mind at elections...) and domestic state bodies checked corruption & foreign intrigues
