Greta, for you a Nordic-neighbour fact: Danish scientists, from Denmark’s National Museum of Copenhagen (as published in ScienceNordic, 3 February 2012) have confirmed that Viking King Erik the Red, some 1,000 years ago, grew barley (to of course brew beer!) in Greenland
And Greta, Scandinavian and US university researchers are, independently of each other, reporting via scientific research that polar-bear populations have exploded by up to 30% over the past 20 years or so!
Finally, Greta, in the 1970s, many scientists worldwide were all gloom-and-doom over an impending new ice age and worldwide shortages of food!
