At @MAAS_UK we are not party political.

We work with people from all political parties and none including @UKLabour, but we can't remain silent when it comes to #Antisemitism.

It is an absolutely awful to see @LouiseEllman being chased out of @UKLabour due to being Jewish. /1

@LouiseEllman dedicated a stellar Parliamentary career to her constituents and gave so much to the Labour Party.

Since 2015 she has faced a relentless campaign against her often showing itself in Antisemitic and misogynist abuse online. /2

@LouiseEllman bravely stayed in a party where the #Antisemitism has become so bad, the party is being investigated for institutionalised #Antisemitism.

Unsurprisingly @LouiseEllman could not recommend Jeremy Corbyn as PM and has made a hard decision to stand down as an MP. /3

Since then the abuse she has received on social media has been nothing short of disgraceful.

We are in the process of screenshotting some of the worst and will make this publicly available when finished.

We will also make copies available to @CST_UK & True vision. /4

For those sending abuse who are @UKLabour members we will report this to the party.

Sadly @LouiseEllman is not the first Jewish MP chased out of @UKLabour.

It happened to @lucianaberger too and she still receives antisemitic and misogynist abuse to this day. /5

MPs like @IanAustinMP, @ChukaUmunna, @gavinshuker, @MikeGapes, @ChrisLeslieMP, @joanryanEnfield, @angelasmithmp and a number of Lords left @UKLabour over antisemitism.

@JohnMannMP is standing down as an MP due to it though he will remain a Labour Party Member. /6

Stalwarts of the party such as @warrenmorgan, @adamlangleben and many more have left over Antisemitism.

Many who stay and bravely fight #Antisemitism such as @mrwtch, @l_attfield, @JoshuaGarfield, @mikekatz, @CllrMehboobKhan, @stephane_ulrich and @vellstells, receive abuse. /7

@UKLabour oldest affiliate in @JewishLabour receives sackloads of Antisemitic abuse.

Those like @Sara_Rose_G, @TracyAnnO & @RachelRileyRR who call it out face daily antisemitic and misogynist abuse. /8

So many good people are being abused and made to feel like there is no political party for them in a party they thought represents them either because they are Jewish or will stand with their Jewish allies against antisemitism. /9

Good people are staying and fighting to challenge #Antisemitism in @UKLabour and good people have felt their only option is to leave.

It is not our job at @MAAS_UK to say what we think is the most effective way to combat #Antisemitism in @UKLabour. /10

It is our job as an organisation dedicated to fighting #Antisemitism to stand with all of those fighting the virulent #Antisemitism in today's @UKLabour.

Why because as an organisation who combats #Antisemitism, we condemn and challenge it wherever it rears its ugly head. /11
