2/ Lean into existing networks:

Venture capital is an industry built on trust and reputation.

Your reputation with colleagues and peers at other companies matter a lot.

Especially as they leave to start companies or you want to recruit them to your portfolio companies.

Some highlights:
1/ The original Super Angels founded iconic companies Netscape, PayPal...

Angel investing was reserved for individuals with large exits and established reputation in the ecosystem
2/ Super Angels 2.0 are magnetic operators inside of iconic tech companies

But they're not founders, not $$ and known but not famous

They selectively invest in companies where they can perfect their craft, add value quickly & build a reputation

3/ Also let's not forget Noel, who presumably had no idea his interview about his experience in Saudi would be spammed around along with the name of a murdered Saudi journalist. That's some dark shit...Of course there's more.

Today is a significant day for the Niger Delta. Commencement of Handover of sites to qualified contractors in first phase of remediation of 21 lots across the 4 LGAs of Ogoniland. Handover will be followed by mobilization of equipment & personnel to sites for the actual clean-up.
Of course some will ask โ€˜Why now?โ€™ Answer: If youโ€™ve followed the Clean Up news youโ€™ll realize that the procurement process (by which these contractors were selected) has been ongoing for a while.
Has taken time cos:
1. Remediation is major work
2. Procurement is time-consuming
[When I say remediation is major work I mean to say the โ€˜Clean Upโ€™ is not โ€˜environmental sanitationโ€™. Itโ€™s a complex technical endeavor

NB. Alongside Remediation work, there will be work along the lines of provision of potable water, livelihood training & health impact studies.]
