In 2017, @NBCDFW NBC Dallas-Fort Worth wrote a puff piece about the Genecis gender clinic where James Younger was diagnosed. On opening in 2014, Genecis had 2 dozen patients; by 2017, there were 400, ages 4-17.

2016 @Cosmopolitan interview w/ the clinic's founder, when Genecis was the only pediatric gender clinic in the Southwest. Genecis follows the "affirmative" model, the approach James Younger's mom laid out in her testimony/court filings.

In addition to being medical director of Genecis, Dr. Lopez, a pediatric endocrinologist, is also on the faculty at the University of Texas. Before founding Genecis, she specialized in diabetes and obesity.

The "affirmative" model promulgated by gender docs is now enshrined in the practice guidelines of the most prestigious & influential medical associations in the United States, like the American Academy of Pediatrics, where Dr. Lopez sits on the endocrinology executive committee.

Another older thread that may prove useful to those new to the uproar about child transition, in light of the #JamesYounger verdict. This one focuses on companies that market items to conceal toddler boys' genitalia--as well as do-it-yourself strategies employed by some parents.
Although the controversy is about a little boy named #JamesYounger, the same thing is going on with little girls. Online companies are making $$ selling "packers" (fake penises) to parents of kids as young as 4 years old. Clearly there's a market for it.
Rubber penises for tiny FTMs, tucking underwear for preschool MTFs...this would all come under the moniker of social transition. Totally reversible, harmless, "follow the child's lead"? You decide.

The #JamesYounger reporting could use some nuance. The jury’s verdict is disturbing, but the child isn’t being “chemically castrated”—YET. Nor is a “boy in a dress” the real issue here. If you aren’t already in the Gender War trenches, you may not be aware that:
1. Social transition (what James’ mom & her “affirmative” allies promote) is not the same as simply allowing a child to choose haircuts, clothing, or toys. Social transition = everyone around the child endorses that the child is “really” the opposite sex and/or in the wrong body.
2. With full social transition, everyone is told they MUST use opp-sex pronouns, new name, & avoid mentioning (or validating) the child's bio sex. Some parents have even changed the birth certificate of their very young children.

Fear of Being Ignored – Athazagoraphobia

One of the very common but rarely discussed phobia.

This disorder is supposedly a fear of being forgotten, ignored, abandoned or replaced, and a “health condition” causing “anger and depression”.

Here are the Symptoms and Treatment.
Symptoms "in order of severity"
- Panic attacks
- Irregular heartbeat
- Shortness of breath
- Excessive sweating
- Slurred words or phrases
- Nausea
- Tremors in the body
Like the Truman Show Delusion, this is not an actual mental disorder (in this case, more specifically a phobia).

The American Psychiatric Association also does not recognize Athazagoraphobia as a specific phobia or a mental disorder for diagnosing in the DSM-V.

The year I was born, the American Psychiatric Association was still classifying homosexual attraction as a mental disorder in the DSM-I. They reclassified it as "sexual orientation disturbance" in DSM-II. In DSM-III it was changed to "ego-dystonic homosexuality".
Following the DSM-III, homosexuality was dropped as a mental disorder. Transgender belief was classified as a mental disorder in the DSM-IV called gender identity disorder. The DSM-V changed it to gender dysphoria. Soon, it too will be dropped from the DSM.
Society once recognized same-sex attraction & gender confusion as mental disorders. Those views changed with social acceptance of the disorders, not because of new scientific discoveries. Attitude changes are social paradigm shifts due to positive media promulgation.
