What she's claiming is that parliament would be LESS likely to support a GE in which 16 & 17yr olds could vote or in which EU residents could vote. Really?! This self-mutilated, minority Tory gov cannot win a vote! BJ lost 7 out of 7 to start his premiership! 2/
If any bill passes it will be at the behest of opposition parties and independents, the vast majority of which are supposedly pro-EU.

If Labour's proposals don't pass, the Libs & SNP will look like disingenuous fakers. They spent years white knighting for Europeans & calling for the youth, who didn't get a vote in 2016, to have a say. How in all holy fcuk can they survive after opposing such amendments? 4/

If Labour try to add amendment to guarantee no deal is off the table, the Libs, SNP & independents will again be exposed as the charlatans they are if they chose not to support it. When Johnson tables that FTPA Bill, it could be the start of a huge shift in favour of Labour. 7/
Even if no amendments pass, I expect Labour to support the bill, as it will pass regardless and Labour cannot be seen to be the only party resisting an election. Especially now the EU has signed off on the extension. But those amendments are the real battlefield. 8/
