2/ ...is a “social justice” history professor whose supporters are “leftist.” The real story is that leftist economic policies and corruption are what have destroyed Venezuela. What’s the point of rewriting reality here, other than to make leftists watching the show...
3/ ...feel better about themselves? There’s no obvious need to do this from a storytelling perspective -- the plot is ripped from the headlines, and most viewers know the situation in Venezuela, so they could have just filled in the blanks themselves.
4/ (Also, what do they think the political demographics of Clancy fans are anyway? It’s also safe to say Tom Clancy, no leftist, would not appreciate this.) Between the kowtowing to China and Hollywood’s overwhelming political bias, can they tell any political story...
5/ ...that’s just realpolitik? I’m not asking for stories that cater to my politics or ideology; just ones that portray the world as it is. This is ridiculous.
