I thought it might be useful to share some interesting elements from these docs as there is a lot of material nbcnews.com/news/all/leake…
We reported on the big themes back in April, but there are 4,000 pages of the good stuff nbcnews.com/tech/social-me…
Here's Sam Lessin expressing doubts to Zuck in 2012 about Facebook's ability to build a phone
Here is Zuck discussing in a chat log how to figure out how much developers would pay for certain types of user data (exhibit 66)
Here are some employees who didn't like the way FB was restricting data access to apps considered competitors - one describes it as "sort of unethical" (exhibit 109)
Here's another employee who was freaked out that privacy settings configured on the core FB site didn't carry over to third party apps. She compared FB to Casterly Rock, home of the Lannisters in #GameofThrones (exhibit 195)
Caveat: Facebook says these documents are cherry picked to make the company look bad in the lawsuit
There are summaries (written by FB's head of public policy) of meetings between Sheryl Sandberg and folks at Davos 2013 including an awkward anecdote about then UK chancellor of the exchequer George Osborne *not* leaning in & a Canadian minister's "awful" staffer (exhibit 52)
Here is part of an emailed discussion about a presentation delivered to FB's board of directors in 2012 discussing shifting the business model from 'data for distribution' to 'data to $' (FB ultimately did not charge directly for data) (exhibit 35)
Entrepreneur Ali Partovi described how Facebook threatened to acquire his business "not for very much" or shut it down (from his 2017 deposition, sealed exhibit 2)
Despite this, his brother Hadi later told Six4Three's lawyers that they couldn't join their case because of their "personal relationships" with Mark and Sheryl

In 2016, Facebook donated $15 million to the brothers’ Code.org nonprofit.

Exhibit 212 is a chatlog from 2013 between then director of engineering Mike Vernal and then director of product Doug Purdy where Purdy described Zuck as a "master of leverage" (in an admiring way)
In the same conversation they discuss how incompetent Facebook is at insights/analytics, which they describe as "measuring our own shit" - again this is back in 2013
In September 2013, senior staff discuss restricting the data apps can access through FB's API to indirectly force them to buy ads and cut costs, which "gives us the great line internally" to talk about money savings and "cleaning up the platform" (exhibit 80)
OK one more: this vintage dunk by Lessin on Boz (in a looooong email to Zuck). Note that while Lessin left in 2014, Boz stayed and remains one of the most senior people in the business (exhibit 29)

"It's highly likely he will either leave or be a lame duck"
