I am in NYC this week and will attempt to find one non Uber rich person who wants Bloomberg to run washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/…
I think there is next to zero chance Bloomberg wins the primary but if he dumps a ton of ads into Super Tuesday states he could hurt whoever is left. Yes, Biden is at most proximate risk. But if he goes after progressives that could hurt them too.
But let me be clear, a 77 yo biilionaire, stop and frisk proponent, NYC mayor with a #metoo problem is not going to win the primary. Bloomberg is doing good work with guns and climate and urban planning. He should do more of all that. And maybe save local journalism

Honestly this is as dubious a decision as anything the Times has ever done.
If you want to find someone who is very apprehensive about China, you can find plenty of people who are not avowed racists.
Also Bannon is a perpetrator of disinformation—mostly racist disinformation—and a journalism institution has no business giving that a platform.

RCV is an exciting attempt at electoral reform. But it is going to take awhile for voters and candidates to understand how it works and for policy needs to evaluate if (and which model) produces the intended reforms. There are some unintended possibilities!

To date, there are Zero Senate Republicans who say they want Mueller or Rosenstein fired. Zero.
BUT that doesn't mean they like to talk about it, tweet about it, give floor speeches, etc.
Most would much rather talk about almost anything else.
Frist now calling them out.
*Many* will give very strong statements to me warning against firing Mueller/Rosenstein - from leaders to rank and file - but with very few exceptions - they outline NO specific consequences. (Many Ds also don't want to do so either).
