I can't get over (& don't plan to get over) the violation of constitutional rights to ballot secrecy with the new system. It's designed to display our private ballot choices to everyone in the polling place. Look at the size of this brightly lit upright screen. Thread below. ⬇️
2/ I observed this myself in 3 polling places. I had to turn my eyes away to keep from seeing how people voted. Virtually all the poll workers could see how voters were voting.

The blue partitions between the screens don't keep others in the room from seeing the choices.
3/ Some people suggested curtain voting booths, but with all this hackable technology in each unit, that would invite mischief by putting voters behind curtains.
4/ This huge violation of voters' privacy and ballot secrecy had already been exposed in TX and PA and written up in official evaluation reports. However, @GaSecofState chose it anyway. Why? This is a failure to honor constitutional rights. What is going on here?
5/ Our @CoalitionGoodGv lawsuit is challenging this violation of voters' rights, but we need YOUR voice too.

Voters can solve this even before we get to the court with it.

See below for what YOU can do today.
6/ First, find out when your GA county election board meets, and go to the meeting with friends and demand that they not permit these illegal machines in your county. No one should be forced to vote on machines that advertise your vote!
7/ Second, write a letter to the editor of your local paper, and demand that election officials and county commissioners tell the SOS that they will not install these machines that violate the rights to a secret ballot.
8/ Third, plan to attend the Dec. 17 State Election Board meeting to add your voice to other voters to demand that anonymous hand marked paper ballots be used immediately, and that the new system be rejected and outlawed.
9/ Even if you don't mind everyone seeing your vote, think of people who cannot vote freely if their boss, or minister, or customer, or landlord finds out how they vote.
If you are applying for zoning variance, or liquor license, or a gov't job, you likely need ballot secrecy.
10/ We cannot let love of technology destroy our hard won right to voter privacy and a secret ballot. Obviously election officials are ready to mow down those rights. None had any problem setting up screens to display our votes to the entire polling place!
