1. For yrs, anti-#Israel NGOs have lobbied #Europe gov'ts for product labeling as a stepping stone to full-fledged #BDS.

2. We discovered that NGOs pushing for labeling ironically receive large funds from these same #Europe gov'ts. Why are gov'ts paying NGOs to lobby themselves? #Irony

3. A little background: In 2016, @fidh_en took credit for #France 🇫🇷 gov't decision to label products.

4. Together with @PFPalestine they lobbied #France 🇫🇷 (and #Belgium 🇧🇪) gov'ts to end economic relations with #Israel settlements, including banning imports & preparing info for travelers to avoid supporting companies and tourist sites.
