In 1986, with Corbyn one of Briefing's most high profile contributor/promoter when they published this

"our commitment... is to challenge, combat and break the repression & violence of the capitalist machine"

'what that means is revolution'
Hansard HL Deb 4 Feb 1987 v 484 1/10
"against the racist & anti-union violence of the police, & the threat posed by the armed forces, workers must counter pose demands for the disbanding of these armed bodies of capitalist repression & their replacement by workers militias & community self-policing" 2/10
Lord Chalfont continued: 'Where have we heard the phrase "workers militias" before? To me it has has a familiar ring about it.'

'It says that similar demands must be made for the replacement of the bosses courts, the judiciary & the Civil Service hierarchy'. 3/10
"the goal must be to break the Labour Government & the Labour Movement from any alliance with the bankers & the institutions of British capitalism & to create the kind of mass working class organisation & mass action that can smash the system itself". 4/10
'want to create enmity & hatred among & between as many sections of the community as possible-men against women, homosexuals against heterosexuals, the young against the old -& of course they want to fashion & sharpen the most potent & sinister weapon of all, racial hatred.' 5/10
'In its October 1986 issue Briefing published a list of 300 supporters, which included 12 Labour candidates.

They are Diane Abbott... Jeremy Corbyn'

As well as listed as one of Briefing's 'kamikaze' squadron attacking Labour leader Neil Kinnock 6/10.
Corbyn wasn't just a prominent Briefing promoter & contributor at this time, in the late 80s and 90s Labour Briefing frequently made use of his constituency facilities at Durham Road, Islington.

After 36 years he still doesn't know the entry code. 7/10
By 1995 being linked to Briefing could be toxic for your political career, as Corbyn's friend Liz Davies found out.

But not for everyone: 'Labour MPs such as Jeremy Corbyn and Alan Simpson remain closely linked with it.' 8/10
Briefing has limped on and on, with Graham Bash being an ever present.
It's now the vehicle/publication for John McDonnell's institutionally antisemitic organisation the Labour Representation Committee.

See these posts about the LRC's aggressive takeover. 9/10
The fall out features: Christine Shawcroft, Jackie Walker & Keith Veness amongst others.

There are now two publications [splitters] 10/10
