Not exactly. Most first generation Indian immigrants are professionals and entrepreneurs, and they are well versed in the perils of big government. I personally do not know of a single Indian, and as you can imagine I literally know thousands, who craves govt handouts. However 1/
Many Indians would consider it an insult if they did not avail of any legal loophole that the govt is stupid enough to make available. It's a matter of professional pride to take advantage of any govt stupidity that others are taking advantage of. I am just describing it. 2/2
Immigrant Indians enormously respect efficient govt. They crave it. That's why they emigrated from India. They expected it in the America. But when confronted with govt inefficiency and stupidity, instead of being passive victims of it, they actively try to take advantage of it.
