Finding it hard to stomach the absolute shamelessness of the Tory party’s cynical, frankly dystopian attempts to make truth (rather like “experts”) a matter of “opinion”.

It’s a Trumpian way of shaving off integrity from British public life.

“No one gives a toss”...

So does disinformation actually mean nothing? When Facebook and Whatsapp posts are used to deploy false information to interfere in elections, or crimes against humanity around the world?

Does the British govt not “give a toss” then either?

Turns out quite a lot of people in Britain actually do “give a toss” about truth and integrity.

Perhaps the govt should put the correct information into the public domain and finally #ReleaseTheRussiaReport.

Polls & sites seem to suggest vote for Lib, not Lab - data shows there will be a Tory win without strong Lab movement to LibDems now.

In our strong Remain constituency, make your Remain vote count - however hard to cross that box.
A serious threat: Cities of London & Westminster will end up without an MP that reflects strong Remain constituency, by a split vote.

Most #tacticalvoting polls now advise LibDem @ChukaUmunna.

Get closer to another ref & deprive Johnson of a majority. Strong switching needed.
Whatever your usual voting habits, tactical voting really matters now.

It can stop a heavy Johnson majority - or unseat him/Raab.

This isn’t only about Brexit, but the country we become, as Johnson cracks down on the institutions that hold him to account. We can stop that.

Ct finds beyond reasonable doubt that unlawful pre-trial detention pursued an ulterior purpose - to reduce him and all HRDs to silence.

Many international human rights organisations, inc @BarHumanRights, have been fiercely critical of the indictment, and the failure to rely on any material evidence in Kavala’s case.

This is now backed by the ECtHR assessment on the absence of facts, information or evidence.
Another important aspect - despite previously finding in Mehmet Altan and Sajjan Alpay’s cases that Art 5(4) had been complied with, the ECtHR now explicitly says Turkish Constit Ct does not have carte Blanche when dealing with similar complaints where liberty is at stake.

It’s hard to remember now how badly screwed the Tory party was in the first couple of Blair terms. I remember at university, an aside from one of my lecturers who had been explaining Tory dominance and how they’d owned the previous century.
‘And there’s no reason to think this won’t continue’.
It felt such a preposterous thing to say. They were so spent. So should have lost in ‘92. None of the old attack angles could conceivably work. Washed up. Done.
Guess he was older and wiser than I was.
I recall before the 2010 election, I think David Owen, said whichever government is formed next will be the most unpopular in history. Or words to that effect. As much as ‘austerity is a choice’ is the line, whoever got the hot seat was going to be the giant meanies.
