Netanyahu now responding to the indictments:

Netanyahu: “I have to say that I respect the law authorities in Israel, they’re justifiably world renown. But something bad has happened there. We are seeing an attempt to carry out a legal revolution. It is a process tainted by foreign interests meant to topple a right-wing PM”
Netanyahu blames indictments on “those who want to see an Israel with a bowed head... what happened in the tainted process against me included tailoring of cases & creation of new accusations. It shocks decent citizens and raises difficult questions over the police & prosecutors”
Netanyahu: “The public has lost trust in the legal system” and goes on to detail a long list of scandals he claims the state prosecutors were involved in over the past 30 years. Repeats “tainted procedure” by now 5 times.
Netanyahu now accusing the State Prosecutor’s office of “criminal blackmail” of two state witnesses so they deliver “false testimony” against him. “Everyone who hears me now should be shocked. In what democracy, in what law-abiding country do things like this happen?”
Netanyahu: “Countless instances of criminal activity in the biased investigation against me”. Now claims other politicians were not investigated for supporting the Yisrael Hayom law, “even though according to the AG’s standards this is bribery...selective enforcement on steroids”
Netanyahu:“The public deserves clean investigations that seek the truth and only the truth. The only way to return trust to the system is an independent commission of enquiry to investigate the system. The time has come to investigate the investigators. No one’s beyond criticism”
Netanyahu: “I will not agree that my state which i fought for and put on the international map, will have such a tainted process, such a perversion of justice. I will continue to lead the state, according to law, for the rule of law and for justice and for the good of the state”
Netanyahu wraps up, repeating again “the time has come to investigate the investigators.”
