Anyone can do #marketing.

This is a true statement. Anyone can do marketing. Other true statements.

Anyone can cook.
Anyone can draw.
Anyone can plumb a bathroom.

But would you rather spend the time learning to do it properly or pay someone who knows what
they are doing so you can concentrate on what you know how to do best?

#marketing is a skill that a lot of people claim to have but few people actually master. Most of marketing is actually planning. I find more actual marketers are project managing campaigns than they are
rather than posting things to social media.

#marketing is not selling, but it does touch on some of the same skills. A good marketer will show your product or service in a way that gets people interested, making the job of your sales team that much easier.

Any can make a sale.
Are you going to stiff your #sales team from the credit they are due because anyone can actually do it? No, because those soft skills are somehow seen as more valuable than a marketers.

#Marketing is strategy. It is a long tail plan to give your business the opportunity to be
profitable.

A good #marketer will plan out the day.
A good marketer will plan out the week.
A good marketer will plan out the month, the quarter, the year.
Hell, a good marketer will plan out the decade if they can get the budget to do so.
#marketing is statistics. Marketing requires going over a myriad of stats, all with their own acronyms. They will look at #ROI (return on investment), PPC (pay per click), BR (bounce rate), CTR (call to action), CRM (customer relationship management). the list goes on.
Each one of these acronyms has numbers associated with it. #marketings job is to review these numbers and adjust their plans to reach your business goals based on what these numbers tell them.

#marketing is creative. traditionally #creativity has not been seen as a valid career
skill. The old cliche of "Don't go into the arts, you'll never make money" exists for a reason, and what people don't realize is that marketing is where the #arts makes money. Your marketers job is to ideate, plan, create and execute to give your company the boost it needs to
get in front of a customer, so the business can make money. It is a long term investment.

#marketing department and marketers work with designers, creatives, and business groups, taking in various requirements and advice to craft an ongoing, ever evolving plan to promote and
maintain your business reputation. They help maintain your business brand, showcasing it to ever expanding circles.

Anyone can do #marketing. But while anyone can do it, not many people have the time or attention to detail to do it well.
Anyone can do marketing.

Anyone can do medicine too, but you probably wouldn't to spend the time and money becoming a doctor so you can diagnose yourself.

#marketing is similar. Marketers concentrate on parts of the business so you don't have too. That is whereto value lays.
