Tonight we are blockading the entrance to an event by far-right Israeli settler group Regavim, hosted by UK Lawyers for Israel. The hate and destruction promoted by Regavim should have no place in our community. 
For @UKLFI to host an organisation which works to displace Palestinians by demolishing their homes is a blight on our community’s morals. Racism and hatred must be fought everywhere.
Tonight as we blockade we sing verses from Psalms and recite the Jewish prayer for the home, birkat habiyit. Our work is inspired by our community’s history and values. There is nothing Jewish about home demolitions.
Regavim use the language of “protecting Israel’s land” to petition the Israeli government to demolish Palestinian homes, both in the occupied territories and in the Negev.
Regavim proudly display photos of rubble as they ask for funds to secure more demolitions. Their total disregard for the humanity, dignity and futures of those whose homes they have destroyed is an affront to morality.
We are fighting for a world where everyone can be free. Regavim represent everything that we should stand against.
