This describe most of my life’s work. The original version of Rails 0.5 was just one thousand lines of code! That included both Action Pack and Active Record in forms that would look very familiar today. blade.nagaokaut.ac.jp/cgi-bin/scat.r…
And, as that announcement details, so too was Basecamp. The original launch version that’s since built a business with cumulative hundreds of millions in revenue over the years was 4,000 lines of code. Programmed by me in 400 hours. (Today’s Basecamp 3 is about 35,000 lines).
