Extent of media propaganda against Corbyn. Factiva media search covering 45 days since election was called to today. Articles in UK national press (not broadcast):

"Corbyn and antisemitism" -1,247
'Johnson and Islamophobia' - 159

“Corbyn and IRA” – 253
“Johnson and Yemen” - 16
On “Corbyn and antisemitism”, around half the articles since election was called are in Times & Telegraph. They are followed by S*n, Guardian/Observer and Mail.

“Corbyn and IRA” campaign has been led by S*n, followed by Times and Telegraph
According to Factiva search, the Guardian has had 164 articles covering “Corbyn and antisemitism” since election was called – that is an average of 3.6 articles a day. This compares to 68 articles covering “Johnson and Islamophobia”.
Note these figures are rough in the sense that they don't pick up nuances in each article as to how concepts (AS, Islamophobia) are covered. But they provide an overall indicator of extent of coverage. Also note that other search engine tools may give slightly different figures.
I'd be interested to see other research, to compare to these figures. Obviously, UK has undergone its biggest media propaganda campaign since 1945 and perhaps biggest in Europe since collapse of USSR. It should have significant impacts on media/communications studies in academia.
