Employees at a fish farm in Vancouver intervened when an eagle tried to eat a large octopus, resulting in a battle
After hearing shrieks coming from the water on the north-western tip of Vancouver Island, employees at a fish farm
The octopus, which had turned a deep crimson, had wound its tentacles tightly around the eagle, which was floating helplessly at the surface.
Ilett maneuvered a pike pole in the water to pull the octopus over to the boat. The crew managed to haul both aboard, disentangling the bird from the strong tentacles,
“That was amazing. Look at the size of this [expletive],” said one worker as the octopus hovered briefly at the surface.
“Holy [expletive],” another worker adds as the crew laughs in disbelief.
