"Saudi prosecutors had said deputy intelligence chief Ahmed al-Assiri oversaw the Washington Post columnist's killing...
...and that he was advised by the royal court's media czar Saud al-Qahtani. al-Qahtani was investigated but not indicted "due to insufficient evidence" and al-Assiri was investigated and charged but eventually acquitted on the same grounds, the statement said."
Shame. al-Qahtani and al-Assiri deserve to be punished!

Saud al Qahtani and General Asiri have been acquitted. Absolutely maddening. A sham trial and no justice for Khashoggi.
The Saudis are covering up this murder by sentencing low level thugs. We demand justice.
The Kingdom is responsible. Until we see sanctions/action against the Kingdom by the US/EU and others, we won't see justice.

Read this thread and then ask yourself why Ignatius wrote a piece in May 2018 defending Stefan Halper.
Ignatius looked into allegations about Lokhova and Flynn that were reportedly first raised by Halper. Ignatius did not run a story on the allegations, seemingly b/c they were false. Instead of questioning Halper's credibility, Ignatius runs cover for him: washingtonpost.com/opinions/globa…
I probably don't need to say it, but will -- Halper's credibility is important since he was an FBI informant sent to gather information on Carter Page and George Papadopoulos. He also raised concerns about Flynn that were shared w/ US intelligence.
