1. Protect the public first and foremost.

3. Coordinate and implement the containment and engagement plans.

4. Be the interface for higher command and responding officers.

5. Engage, negate, and bring the suspect into custody.
6. Render aid to the public.

7. Render aid to other officers.

You read that correctly. A cop’s last priority is to help other cops.

Over the years, people have asked me why we kept fighting for it.

My answer was always the same. "Because I believe we are going to save it. I just don't happen to know exactly how, at the moment."
Then, its owner, Pacific Gas & Electric went bankrupt. Lawsuits filed because of the company's role in sparking deadly wildfires racked up billions in fines the company couldn't afford.
