Good early morning family.

With this Tweet-thread, I want to share something that my pastor @KWCosby calls "Points to Ponder," key things to remember as we engage people and personalities on this platform. #ADOS (1/)
Our effort for a righteous justice claim battles much resistance & many enemies. Some of it is out of ignorance & a lack of knowledge. Some of it might well be having an interest in keeping ADOS a bottom caste in this country. #ADOSPolitics (2/)
As we deal with content consumers who may have a stake in what we are arguing for, let's dispose ourselves of the goal of direct persuasion as our goal. We have to resist the impulse to change the beliefs of people with made-up minds. #ADOSPolitics (3/)
As we continue to engage, we have to adjust our expectations.

Our best wins with these will be...to get disagreeable content consumers to UNDERSTAND our point of view & position even as they refuse to change their minds.

#ADOSPolitics (4/)
Getting those folk to experience & entertain your position, even but for a moment, you have moved the needle for your justice, even as it may not appear so.

#ADOS #ADOSPolitics (5/)
So then: stop trying to convince & persuade our enemies and target the goal of *planting a seed.*

When people change their beliefs, it happens as a gradual process. Seeds need time & a level of nurturing to sprout.

#ADOSPolitics (6/)
Let us continue to be fearless in our truth-telling of the burdens & sufferings of our ancestors, both long-ago as well as not-so, and let's all bear witness of socioeconomic realities of ADOS in 2020.

#ADOSPolitics (7/)
Sprouted seeds emerge & attitudes change as we tell our stories of #ADOSLife.

Doing this takes a letting down of your guard, even if but a little. It is the willingness to open up about our lives & the necessity of this work. (8/)
Now all of this does not mean sure-fire successes with our opponents, but it shall provide us data points & feedback.

*Accurate feedback is critical* to be #ADOSAgile. The tactics & strategies that you change or keep depends on it. #ADOSPolitics (9/)
One last takeaway: follow these suggestions along with an effort to know your audience *and have an understanding of* why they hold their position.

The better we get, the farther we advance. Stay #ADOSAgile. #ADOSPolitics #ADOS (10/x)
