1) #GoldStar is trending right now. The Democrats believe they own this topic, due to their hellacious strategy with one such family in 2016. They brought out a Gold Star family to attack Trump during the campaign, and, of course, Trump responded.
2) Representative Collins discussed the following question yesterday. Who do the Democrats care more about? Do they care more about Suleimani, or the Gold Star families to whom Suleimani provided that very star by murdering their children?
3) To be 100% clear, QS created Gold Star families by murdering their children. And what do the Democrats do in response to Collins making this point? Whip out the one and only, single Gold Star family whom they manipulated into attacking Trump.
4) This is a classic move. There is a lie involved. The lie is this. What you're talking about doesn't matter, because of this (whatever the distracting point may be). This is a conflation of two totally separate topics.
5) Suleimani murdered our children, those we sent to aid Iraq in honest faith. We may judge the war, in retrospect, to have been poorly planned, poorly decided upon, and hellaciously poorly executed. But the warriors we sent - our children - were surely not to blame.
6) And Suleimani's part in the horrible murder of those, our children, who went in good will, is to be rejected in this moment, far too late, when we finally gave him his just consequence for his evil. He created Gold Star families. This is pertinent.
7) The Democrats were simply wrong to the point of evil in using one Gold Star family to attack Trump in 2016. They were a questionable family, with questionable motives, easily manipulated. Their attack against Trump was a ploy, a ruse, and a despicable one.
8) Lacking any mechanism to attack Trump today, the Democrats whip out their own failed attempt in 2016 once more, evading the real point with predictable dishonesty. Did Suleimani murder our children, yes or no? The answer is yes. Yet, we're somehow to be sad over his demise?
9) On our side, we far too often allow the Democrats to dictate the terms of discourse. We get distracted by their attacks and fail to discern, let alone point out, their lies. To switch topic from a bad guy's murders, to the 2016 words of our President is a lie.
10) The souls of those, our children, who died or were maimed at Suleimani's hands, they cry out for justice. Justice has been served. Let us remember that, and thank our President for his grim resolve. That resolve is what America needs, today. And tomorrow too.
