In year 6 (2001) we had to do a project on "Disasters" and students did Pompeii or whatever and I decided to be a smartarse and do mine on "Global Warming". It is now the most depressing document I own. Let's take a look. (Thread) #climatechange 
If an 11yo in 2001 can use NASA stats to warn against #climatechange then what's @ScottMorrisonMP 's excuse? In my introduction I illustrate (literally) how Australia in 2001 was a ticking time bomb: "Global warming is a disaster waiting to happen" was my opening line. Punchy.
I then list the changes that will happen "if we do nothing to reduce the amount of CO2 & other greenhouse gasses". News: it's not good. Temp, sea level rises, dying rainforests, drought, famine and disease are on the agenda #climateemergency

Here I used my Microsoft Word Skills to draw HOW climate change happens via the greenhouse gas layer. Still informative, but I welcome feedback on this piece. Be kind, I was 11.

Some final pieces of salient 11yo advice: "It is important to help prevent global warming for the sake of keeping our environment and ourselves healthy. If we get the news out there to help this kind of thing that small difference now, could mean a big difference in our future."
