This is the senior mayor of Kassel (#Kassel). Is he? He talks of himself as the conservative merchant. The city as the state as the ideally total capitalist can be nothing but a merchant as this merchant is dealing with the people's money. Has nothing to do with bratwurst. 
For is it peoples money? Or even peoples sausage? Debates are over, right? Debates on subjects like public private partnerships, nights of bombing, bikes, trees, the weather. The merchant in town is the state's image. He is teading only. What can he do? There never been
colonialisation, there is no armament industries, the poor are a problem. The city - the state - makes the best of it.
