not to vote for his party. Scheer was either unable or unwilling to express himself on social issues & even simple ones like double citizenship, resume padding, and whether or not he hired a dynamite PR firm to blow up Bernier's reputation. Many progressive conservatives
continue to think that the #Conservative Party will be forced to replace this fourth liner with a first liner. But Mr. Singh, with all due respect, implying that a political leader's Roman Catholic beliefs disqualifies him from becoming a PM is the equivalent of
saying that a person's Orthodox Sikh beliefs disqualifies them. I am convinced that if & when I interview you on this, you'll find a way to dig out of this ditch. But in the meantime, I'd encourage you not to sound like you're discriminating against millions of Canadians who are
morally and rhetorically competent enough to compartmentalize personal beliefs while discharging their public responsibilities. @AndrewScheer wasn't able to look the camera in the eye and say "I'm not running for bishop. I'm running for prime minister.
If any member of my caucus wants to abuse their privileges by trying to legislate against reproductive choice & equal marriage, I will politically excommunicate them. I'm confident enough in my own competence to attend Church on Sunday & do the people's business on Monday."
If the #Conservative leader had been able to credibly make that kind of statement, many Cdns would have enthusiastically voted #Conservative Moral clarity from @AndrewScheer on key issues would have put him in the PMO, supported by many new MPs from #Ontario & #Quebec
