Media points out the name ‘The Base’ is the English translation of Al Qaeda. One of the members is apparently a Muslim, leading to accusations white supremacists are teaming up with Islamic terrorists (see pic in first tweet of thread).
Another member of The Base is a bomb expert from Canada who was a fugitive inside the US before being arrested.

Meanwhile, the FBI wants to go after ‘white supremacists’. Doing a big terror attack blamed on The Base would allow them to link domestic dissidents to foreign Muslim terrorists & surveil/imprison them while providing justification to re-invade Iraq and/or launch war with Iran.
CBS has reached out to major personalities in the dissident right and is likely working on a smear job on the dissident right as a whole. This will further turn public against ‘the alt-right’ at an opportune moment.
I don't know if anything will happen at the Virginia rally or later (my guess is later, but they may be setting the scene). They may have a plan for election day also. But remember, they did 9/11. Netanyahu warned of a nuclear 9/11. You need to think big.

Another thing I left out is that a dirty bomb (which requires nuclear materials) could be linked to Iran's nuclear facilities which Bibi won't shut up about, and possibly justify nuclear retaliation against Iran (fulfilling the fantasies of psychopathic Zionists like Adelson).
